daydreaming of somewhere else.

As much as I adore my beloved Toronto, there are times when my heart aches for somewhere else …

… somewhere where even the metro signs are beautiful and you can easily zip around the whole city with only a transit token …

… where every cup of coffee is the best you’ve ever tasted …

… and there’s a cute boy down the street who will write you a poem on his old typewriter if you stop and chat.

Where you can walk in the steps of Amélie …

… and climb a mountain of winding streets …

… to see the whole city sprawled out in front of you.

Where there’s a masterpiece around every corner …

… lovers lock their feelings to bridges …

… and romance is scattered everywhere, even on the sidewalks.

Where the greats are always remembered …

… and historical monuments are around every corner …

… just waiting to pose with you for the perfect tourist shot.

Where you’ll stumble upon adorable independent restaurants …

… that are eager to serve you heaps of veggie fare …

… but croissants are also a required part of a balanced diet.

Where you’re only a short train ride away from frolicking around a palace in your party dress …

… standing in awe of the most magnificent chandeliers ever created …

… and eating pastries where royalty once stood.

Where fairy tale cottages really exist …

… the roses are the size of your head and more fragrant that you can imagine …

… and the romantic moments are neverending.

Oh Paris, how I miss you. I’ll be back as soon as I can.

xoxo
