I hope you’ll blog about the elimination diet if you do try it. I found it immensely helpful for figuring out what foods don’t really agree with me. X

Just make the best choices you can in each moment and don’t beat yourself up for not being “perfect” because perfect is a lie. X

I can’t believe how foggy I get from certain foods, especially processed wheat. Realizing this link makes me think more carefully about what I eat because I know I won’t be as happy or create the work I want to create when I feel like that. X

But you also don’t deserve to be punished when you eat salt or sugar. There’s no such thing as perfect, so just make the best choices you can in each moment. X

But spinning a diet to make it a more positive self-love experience seems to be a great way to look at it. Coincidentally enough, I’m trying to start a diet, aka eat better, today. I’ve been way too impulsive with my diet. I feel like I don’t look as good, but what I’m more concerned about nowadays is how I feel. I’ve been so sluggish, lethargic, and irritable lately. I’m trying to really emphasize fruits, veggies and juices this week to put me back on track.

I think this post provided some additional encouragement, so thanks. :)

For myself, carbs are always the problem because they’re quick and easy and almost always readily avaliable whether i’m at home or out, if I need something quick, it’s almost always carb loaded. It’s my own fault most of the time when i’m at home for just being lazy, and carbs, in excess honestly make me physically feel like crap.
I’ve also been in and out of healthy eating, and honestly when i’m eating all the right foods for my body, I feel so much better, physically and emotionally. But, being the lazy little human that I am, it never seems to last long, that and it’s often reasonably more expensive to do a healthier food shop and I honestly really do not earn that much money.
I’m also a vegetarian and I know what i’m supposed to eat and I know which foods make me feel like crap but yet I still go back to them, argh!
I like the idea of the eliminating diet, I’m going to check out the site you linked now :)
I loved this post :) Sorry for the rambling comment though haha, I hope you have a great day :)

When I’m struggling to stay on track and be healthy I just remind myself that I DESERVE to eat healthy food that is good for my body. I don’t deserve to punish myself with salt and sugar in processed foods, it helps me to stop seeing them as a treat that I’m denying myself, and to see it for what it is, which is unhealthy behaviours tied to food consumption.

Whenever I’ve had a particularly productive day (work done, exercise done) I find myself reaching for fruit and healthier treats rather than a sharer bag of cheese Doritos. I’ve started keeping a food diary too recently as I suspect I have a gluten intolerance. It’s amazing how intricately linked our diet and our mind are, but it’s such a life-changing thing when you realise it x
