At first I wasn’t sure if I could really relate to her story because I thought it might have been more about working through grief, but after reading what other people had to say about it I couldn’t wait to read it. This I Know is so much more than a story on grief. I love the quotes you chose, a lot of them are the same ones I highlighted!

Have you ever watched PS I Love You or read the book? It’s crazy how Susannah’s real life experience is similar to that of the fictional character Holly. Both had their father’s leave them at a young age, both had their life’s love pass away much too young and both were able to find themselves through their grief.

I think what I was reading as ‘platitudes’ at first were just insights I couldn’t relate to – we all find the wisdom we need when we need it and sometimes ‘the other stuff’ just doesn’t speak to us. Your book touched me deeply. Thank you so much for writing it. x

Gosh, thank you for this. It’s actually quite odd reading back quotes from something you’ve written (but don’t remember writing — it’s all a bit of a blur!) I’m so glad you connected with the book. There probably are a few too many platitudes in the pages, but hopefully not too many ;-) xx
